In ‘Bastards Of The Reagan Era’ A Poet Says His Generation Was ‘Just Lost’

NPR and Fresh Air’s Terry Gross recently interviewed Betsy Writer’s Room Alum and O, Miami Poet, Reginald Dwayne Betts, speaking with him about his most recent book, a collection of poems called Bastards of the Reagan Era.

We were honored to welcome Betts to The Betsy back in 2012, when he spoke to a group of high school students, all aspiring writers themselves. Betts shared his story of being incarcerated as a teenager, being lost then, and found again through his discovery of poetry. You can read (and listen to) his most recent interview on NPR at their site, HERE.
