In Memory of Sue McLeod

We note the passing of a wonderful friend and writer, Susan McLeod. Among the tributes made, we’d like to share these two items; a tribute song written in honor of Susan, and a plaque that her family placed in a park near her home. Susan’s last book, Shell and Shadowwas dedicated and set at The Betsy.

A songwriter doesn’t write a tribute song for a cherished departed soul like Sue McLeod because he’s afraid she’ll be forgotten, but because he’s afraid not enough people know how good and kind she was.

All proceeds from this song are being donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. To purchase song, click here: This video features photography by Ann Rumrill (Ann Elizabeth Photography: For lyrics, download, and more works by this artist, please visit

  1. I am deeply saddened and sorry to hear about the passing of Susan. I know she was a bright light in this world and a dear, lifelong friend to many. She even made acts of kindness to those she had never met. I know this is big loss for our world. May she sleep in peace.
