The Betsy Writer’s Room hosts visiting artists year-round. Residencies are typically booked in a Sunday through Thursday window in an agreed-upon timeframe, subject to availability.

There is no charge to stay in The Betsy Writer’s Room. Artists receive daily American breakfast as well as a modest per diem to assist with incidentals in the hotel. A small room fridge is provided for drinks and snacks. Travel to/from residencies is not covered as part of this program, though many resident artists receive this support from third-party donors, such as university and organizational partners.

Visiting writers are asked to donate one of your recent publications (signed, if possible) to The Betsy Writer’s Room.
