Exiled Writers Series

The Betsy Writers Room, in partnership with Florida International University’s Exile Writers Program and the Department of English, hosted its first exiled writer in residence Zimbabwean poet, Chenjerai Hove in the fall of 2013. The program is dedicated to providing a longer residency to an author whose work has been the subject of persecution and censorship. The Betsy works with various educational and cultural partners to help spread the message of these authors throughout the community.
