David Archuleta (born December 28, 1990) is a Miami-born American singer-songwriter who rose to fame at age 17 as the runner-up on season seven of American Idol (2008). He was also a Junior Champoin at age 12 on Star Search. Known for his tenor vocals he has released multiple albums, including a self-titled debut and Therapy Sessions. He has since embraced a career as an independent artist and LGBTQ advocate, and is currently on tour with his new memoir, Devout: Losing My Faith to Find Myself (Simon and Schuster, 2026)
