Florence Naprix is a Guadeloupean singer, composer, and producer whose soulful voice and genre-blending sound have made her a rising star in Caribbean music.
She began formal vocal training and piano at a young age, drawing inspiration from jazz greats like Sarah Vaughan and the neo-soul flair of Erykah Badu. After moving to France, she quickly gained attention on the Paris music scene, performing at venues like Le Baiser Salé and collaborating with artists such as Mario Canonge and Tony Chasseur.
Her debut album Fann Kann (2012) showcases her bold fusion of jazz, biguine, zouk, ka, and electro—solidifying her as a powerful voice of Caribbean identity and innovation.
Florence uses her artistic talent as a tool for advocacy—championing women and amplifying Guadeloupean and French Caribbean voices. She starred in Dans la peau de Mano (2019–2020), a performance honoring Guadeloupe’s first popular female singer, Manuéla Pioche, while examining the realities of women artists then and now. In 2020, she launched [Re]belle est la bête, a podcast inspired by the #MeToo movement, created to help survivors of gender-based violence in Guadeloupe speak out.
