Curated Conversation: Roots and Canvas: Tracing Miami's Haitian Art Legacy

  • BBar at The Betsy (map)

As part of “From Venice with Love,” The Betsy welcomes master contemporary artist Edouard Duval-Carrié for an intimate fireside conversation exploring the exhibition’s central themes—migration, memory, Vodou symbolism, and the Caribbean narratives his work powerfully reimagines. Hosted by Rosie Gordon-Wallace (founder of Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator), the evening also features a dance performance by A’Keitha Carey, Bahamas-born artist and FIU PhD candidate in Global Dance. Presented by GMCVB Art of Black Miami. Produced in partnership between The Betsy Writers Room and FIU’s Public Humanities Lab, with support from Pérez CreARTE
