Honest Liars is a reading series hosted by FIU’s MFA Creative Writing students, coordinated by Bryane Alfonso. In partnership with The Betsy Hotel, join us on April 17, 2026 for an evening of poetry, prose, and work that lives in the spaces in-between.

The reading is open to both MFA students and guests, with an opportunity to sign up to read the night of. Readers are invited to share 2–3 pages of their work (or up to 5 minutes). Whether you’re a student, faculty member, friend, first-time visitor, or simply curious, you’re warmly welcomed to read, listen, and be part of the room.
