Brooke Nevils is a former NBC producer and the woman who publicly accused Matt Lauer of sexually assaulting her. Her residency is presented in partnership with Books & Books, recognizing her first book, Unspeakable Things: Silence, Shame, and the Stories We Choose to Believe. Lauded by The Atlantic, USA Today, and NPR, the book is a powerful, personal look at the myths and stereotypes that shape how we understand sexual harassment and assault, featuring insights from clinicians, forensic professionals, attorneys, and researchers.
